VF-AC Filter Controllers

VAF Filter Controller VF-AC

General Information

VAF's Model VF-AC electronic filter controller offers simplicity with all the features necessary to fully monitor and control the operation of self-cleaning screen, sand and media filter systems. This controller allows flush cycles to be initiated by:

  • Manual,
  • Periodic (time between flushes) and/or
  • Pressure differential across the filter

Controls Flush duration, dwell time (pause between sequential flushes), flush interval (maximum time between flushes), reset, manual flush, circuit breaker and power on/ off.
Alarm output 24 VAC, 1 amp with AC input. 12 VDC, 1 amp with DC input.
Filter capacity Up to 4, 8 or 12 filters plus master valve.

Up to 4, 8 or 12 parallel filters may be connected to the VF-AC controller. Multiple filters flush sequentially when a flush cycle is initiated. The controller then checks to be sure the pressure differential has dropped to zero, indicating the filtering medium has been cleaned. Should a preset limit (adjustable from 1 to 7) of simultaneous flush cycles occur, the VF-AC will send an alarm signal. Upon power failure, the VF-AC will continue without data loss.
